Self Unloading Bin & Conveyor System

The Process Challenge

An adhesive mixing company contacted S. Howes to build a self-unloading bin and conveyor system to transport sluggish corn starch.

The Solution

S. Howes designed a system that included a mezzanine where palletized bags of product were placed. An operator would load the corn starch materials into the bin hopper, and then a 12-foot split tube screw conveyor transported the material to the next phase of the process.

Components

  • Self Unloading Bin with 30 Cu. Ft. Hopper
  • Bag Dump station Model 19
  • Conveyor Model 6C12
  • Mezzanine

The Result

The system saved the company time and money by transporting the product more efficiently.
